Golf Skills Coaching Programme

Course Information

The Junior Coaching Programme is structured to offer a comprehensive format of playing, tuition, practice and challenges, created to provide an enjoyable learning experience for all children. They will learn the game using the first class facilities at the Palmerston Golf Academy, including the Driving Range, Short Game Area and the fantastic Par 3 Academy Course.

Our aim is to develop their athletic ability and give them the skills in all aspects of the game, taking each player as far as they want to go - whether that is to just play for enjoyment or to be the next golf superstar!

Every course covers all aspects of the game, including FUNdamental ABC's of movement, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing, playing and rules & etiquette. Each week they will cover a different topic and we will spend time learning, training and practicing each discipline.

The programme is divided into groups with regards to their age and ability. These are as follows:

RED GROUP
Age guide 5-7 years

Beginning with the fundamentals of movement they will gain a better awareness of striking, agility, balance, co-ordination & speed necessary for golf. They will also discover the basics of the golf swing and be introduced to playing.

BLUE GROUP
Age guide 7-10 years

Developing the fundamentals begun at the Red Group stage, they will gain a better understanding of playing the game and the swing. They will also continue improving their athletic ability and spend time discovering new skills.

GREEN GROUP
Age guide 10-13 years

Building on the fundamentals set in the previous stages this group will learn how to score better and to continue developing their skills in all aspects of the game using more advanced techniques.

PINK GROUP (Girls only)
Age guide 5-8 years

Beginning with the fundamentals of movement they will gain a better awareness of striking, balance, co-ordination and speed necessary for golf. They will discover the basics of the golf swing and be introduced to playing.
