Junior Academy
Golf Skills Coaching Programme
Course Information
The Junior Coaching Programme is designed to offer a structured format of tuition, practice and challenges in order to provide an enjoyable learning experience for all children. They will learn the game using the first class facilities at the Palmerston Golf Academy, including the Long Game Zone, Putting Zone, Chipping Zone, Bunker Zone and the fantastic Academy Par 3 Course.
Our aim is to help develop their athletic ability and guide each pupil through each area of the game, taking them as far as they want to go - whether that is to just enjoy the game or to be the next Tiger Woods!
Every course covers each aspect of the game, including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing, playing and rules & etiquette. Each week they will cover a different topic and we will spend time learning and practicing each discipline.
The Programme is divided into two groups with regards to their age and ability. These are as follows:
RED GROUP
Age guide 5-7 years
Beginning with the fundamentals of movement this stage will learn the basics of a golf swing in each area of the game. They will gain an awareness of distance control and alignment and will also develop agility, balance, co-ordination and speed.
BLUE GROUP
Age guide 7-10 years
Developing the fundamentals begun at the red stage, they will gain a better understanding of the swing, distance control and alignment. They will also continue improving their athletic ability and discover new skills.
GREEN GROUP
Age guide 10-13 years
Building on the fundamentals set in the red and blue stages, this group will learn how to continue developing their skills in all aspects of the game using more advanced techniques.
We aim to have 6 pupils in each group with a maximum of 8 pupils to ensure safety and quality of tuition.
What do they receive?
